The Student Catering section is under the Student Affairs department. The section is a service provider which supports other services offered by the entire University. The section is charged with the responsibility of providing catering services to over 2000 students daily

The catering section has two units:

• Students Catering Services, which deals with student’s meals.
• Catering Functions Services, which deal with staff meetings, conferences, seminars and all university functions.

The section has a modern spacious kitchen and students dining hall generally known as “Mess” which is accessible to all students’ community, who continue to enjoy nutritious tasty meals that are affordable to all students. In the students dining hall a fortnight cyclic menu that guarantees product variety, taste and flavor through use of recipe and food color schemes to enhance food and presentation is served. Meals schedules, menus and prices are communicated on the notice board at the various serving points within the Mess. Mode of payment Catering includes Pay As You Eat form of payment (PAYE) and Prepaid services. The payments are made at the income generating unit account (Absa Bank Account).
